Product details

Karl Jaspers (1883-1969) wrote a psychiatric classic with his ''General Psychopathology''. In the horizon of freedom, the psychiatrist and philosopher asked above all about the image of man in psychotherapy and the self-awareness of the mature patient. Following a bio- and ergographic sketch, the book outlines Jaspers? guiding idea of freedom and self-awareness and concentrates in the main part on the arguments he had about this with Ludwig Binswanger, Alexander Mitscherlich and Viktor von Weizsäcker. Written testimonies of Jaspers and his opponents often illustrate the arguments. Thus the book can be read at the same time as a vivid problem story of self-awareness.
