The Sisters of Ku'damm

Part 2 of the 50s trilogy. Berlin, 1953: While the department store comes first for Rike, her middle sister Silvie only wants one thing after the dark years of the war: to enjoy life to the fullest. Business is going well anyway, the department store offers the latest fashions: Petticoats, nylon stockings and perlon shirts. But now that the wounds of the war have healed, the men suddenly refuse to leave business to the women alone. When Florentine, now grown into a young woman, rebels against everything and everyone and threatens to divide the family, Silvie realizes that she must take responsibility for the Thalheim department store and her family.
