Product details

The book chronicles the history of the German naval aviators from their beginnings to the present day. In addition to the history, starting with the establishment of a naval air force using airplanes and airships by Kaiser Wilhelm in 1913, through the two World Wars and the Cold War, the author - who himself was an active naval aviator for many years - shares this part of the naval forces from his own experience. He details training paths, maneuver operations, aircraft, and daily work, as well as changes brought about by German reunification up to the closure of bases. Dell-Missier concludes with his personal assessment of the current situation and a look at future developments.
