Der haptische Sinn

In grasping, we understand ourselves. Heinz Deuser observed this several decades ago, which led him to establish the work on the tonal field. His achievement is that he has developed and methodically made this work tangible over nearly 47 years. We are personally touched as soon as we touch, feel, or grasp with our hands. This haptic action is at the center of the work on the tonal field. It is time to emphasize the importance of haptics in human development. To further promote the work on the tonal field and make it more widely known, the Association for Gestaltbildung e.V. was founded in 1994. In addition to many individual projects, it has organized three symposia, the most recent and largest of which took place in October 2007 in Freiburg/Breisgau under the title "Understanding Oneself Through Grasping."
