Regina Schwarz was born in 1951 in Bonn-Beuel and grew up in Gevelsberg. After graduating from high school, she initially studied to become a teacher and then social pedagogy in Regensburg. Since 1984, she has been writing picture book texts for young children, as well as wordplay, tongue twisters, poetic texts, and humorous poems for adults. "I am a dreamer, a storyteller, a poet, and occasionally a word acrobat," says Regina Schwarz about herself. Her love for language and literature was instilled in her by her father, who read to her during her childhood. With her own texts, she aims to inspire enthusiasm for (reading aloud) and encourage listeners to become creative themselves. Regina Schwarz lives in the Rhineland, is married, and has three adult sons.

Katja Senner was born on April 9, 1972, in Mainz and studied communication design and book illustration at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz after her training in printing. As an illustrator, she has combined two passions: the joy of beautiful books and the love of drawing. She primarily works for very young children and strives to take their specific needs for a book seriously. Regarding her work, she says, "I think I am very lucky to have a profession that I enjoy so much. And I am happy when both the little ones and the big ones like my pictures.".
