The ink in the Pearhead ink pad is a special, non-toxic ink, it is not waterproof and can smudge easily until it is completely dry. What you can do: - Leave to dry: Leave open for at least 24 h (do not blow dry). - Fixative spray for paper (e.g. for pencil/charcoal): Very suitable, as it is colourless & gentle on colours. Be careful with hairspray: - Not ideal as many hairsprays contain alcohol or oils, they can smudge or remove the colour.

I haven't tried it, but I can't imagine that the colour is waterproof.
