Nico Sternbaum has been passionately drawing and inventing stories since he was a child. He explored South Africa with his parents and built an adventure treehouse in his grandparents' orchard. After graduating from high school, he earned his diploma at an art college. Today, he writes and illustrates children's books that are very popular among his young readers and have already been translated into other languages, including Chinese. "Shake the Apple Tree," "Swing the Sheep," "Wave to the Whale," and "Shake the Christmas Tree" made it onto the Spiegel bestseller list, and several titles have been presented and recommended by the renowned Stiftung Lesen. Nico Sternbaum lives near Limburg. He loves traveling, Korean food, and museums.
