The teat is equipped with a valve that releases air as soon as the baby encloses the teat in its mouth. This flattens the teat and allows it to mould naturally to the baby's mouth. Information on the dummy shield The round, lightweight shield curves away from the delicate and sensitive skin around the baby's mouth. This ensures minimal contact with the baby's nose and the skin around the mouth. This allows less moisture to accumulate from saliva, which can lead to rashes and sores.
