Why do you think Sony still doesn't make a USB C port on "MK 7"?
You don't have to understand everything about Sony... even the A6x00 models don't have a USB-C port. Not even the latest ones. Sony only builds them into the full-frame cameras. And has been for almost four years. The 7RIII was the first Sony with a USB-C port.
On top of that, the micro USB port is used for remote releases.
