Question about Ubiquiti UniFi Video G3-Flex
Which passive PoE injector would I need to supply a video G3-FLEX camera? I'm a bit confused because there are 24V/48V devices... And is it worth buying the Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Key Plus Gen 2 in combination with the camera? What advantages do I get from it? I want to use the cam for simple monitoring of my flat and (if possible) integrate it into my Synology DS.
A passive PoE injector is not sufficient for this camera. You need one according to the 802.3af PoE standard, with 48V.
Regarding the controller: Without a controller, the camera cannot do much, except simply stream a live image (e.g. via RTSP).
If you want things like motion alarms with push notifications, then you need the controller. And then you could consider buying a PoE switch instead of two PoE injectors.
Part no. 9558411 (at Digitec) should be the right PoE injector. The camera only needs 4 W, so it doesn't have to be a 24 W injector (these are the black ones).

I recommend the Cloud key Gen2 and a POE switch from ubnt.
