Which cooler would you recommend with the i7 7700k? Mainboard: ASUS STRIX Z270F GAMING (LGA 1151, Intel Z270, ATX) RAM: HyperX Fury (2x, 8GB, DDR4-2133, DIMM 288) Should fit these components
"Brocken ECO" for budget
"Brocken 2" more power and quieter than ECO. <- Recommendation
"Noctua NH-U12S or NH-U14S. Premium and quiet
"be quiet! Dark Rock 3. Premium and quiet.
Pay attention to the maximum height of the CPU cooler in your case!
In addition, since the 7700K now also supports 2400MHz RAM, I would at least buy such RAM. Given the price structure, I would even go straight for 3000-3200MHz modules, which are hardly more expensive than the 2133/2400MHz ones, but you might notice the difference. And yes, this is OC, but if it doesn't work out, 3200MHz modules can be run at 2400MHz without any problems, so you're pretty much not risking anything.
use a cryorig r1 universal for my 6700k on 4.5ghz without problems :>
far cry 4 everything on max brings it to max 55°
never had it above 65° except when i run prime95 on it then it got to 80-85....
I would choose between these:
Noctua NH-U12S (15.80cm)
Noctua NH-U14S (16.50cm)
Noctua NH-D15S (16.50cm)
depending on the space in the case, the d15s comes into the territory of a wakü but is much quieter.
Can anyone tell me if I can upgrade the processor on ASUS G20CB-CH055T (Intel Core i7-6700, 16GB, SSD, HDD) ?
And with him it looks like a new acquisition.
The statement about 2-3fps is nonsense. At max-fps yes, it plays little role there. But in BF1, for example, there is a 20fps difference in min-fps from the lowest to the highest clock in the test (test was from 1600mhz to 3200mhz). The extra cost of a few francs is definitely worth it.
