What resolution/frequency is supported (e.g. for HDMI?)? Do I have to connect the power supply to the docking station if I do NOT want to charge the laptop?

I have been using this thing for quite some time. My UHD monitor is recognised with full resolution.
When I undock and dock again, however, I always have to reactivate the monitor via the Intel graphics controller.
This is sometimes annoying, but I can live with it. It also depends on whether the original graphics driver is installed or an adapted OEM driver (PC-specific).

I wouldn't run the thing without a power supply. Alternatively, a USB-C splitter will do the trick.

Resolution according to data sheet:
- 1 screen - 1x display port or HDMI → up to 4 K/30 Hz
- 1 screen - 1x VGA → up to 1080 p/60 Hz
- 2 screens - 1x (DP, HDMI, VGA) + 1x (DP, HDMI, VGA) → up to 2x 1080 p/60 Hz 1.2
- 3 screens - 1x Display Port + 1x HDMI + 1x VGA → up to 3x 1080 p/30 Hz 1.2
- 3 screens - 1x Display Port + 1x HDMI + 1x VGA → up to 1x 1080 p/60 Hz + 2x 720 p/60 Hz 1.2
