What is the maximum possible SD card capacity for the Canon Powershot SX710 HS?
The answer does not solve his problem. It may be that the camera accepts SDXC, but it doesn't mean that he can necessarily use 256Gb... there are always cards that don't work properly. there is only a description of what SD, SDHC and SDXC mean. So it's pretty meaningless.
@Arcoson1: PLEASE! do NOT buy a large memory card. Any sensible photographer will advise them not to. The SX710 is just a compact camera and the data won't be really big.... 16GB is quite enough. If I had to, I would take 2-3 x 16GB, but really fast ones.
Imagine... how many THOUSANDS of pictures fit on 64GB or even 128GB.
And now imagine the camera gets lost, gets wet, the memory card is suddenly defective....
What do you have? Thousands of pictures that disappear into nirvana.
I myself have a maximum of 64GB cards... but... I shoot RAW and have a 42MP camera....
I used to have a Canon SLR 5D and shot with a maximum of 16GB.
Every dealer and photographer will tell you that it's better to buy 1-2 smaller sizes and fast ones than a really big one. In addition, the 16GB are already so cheap and fast that you are better off with them.
I speak from experience when it comes to such cards ;) it's not nice when a 32GB card with 1000 pictures is gone.

Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-I (16GB, Class 10)
the specifications describe which memory cards the camera accepts, there is an exclamation mark next to it, if you move the cursor over it, a text field appears. READ
