Targus USB-C Dual 4K
USB-C, 8 Ports
The device works perfectly with the Thnikpad T470 business notebook. What worries me, however, is that the screens I have connected via HDMI do not connect to my private Ideapad 330 with USB-C 3.1. Can I solve this with an additional cable or adapter for the USB-C port? Thanks for your help.
It probably won't work like that.
The T470 works with Thunderbolt3, and Displayport/HDMI is part of the protocol. The IdeaPad 330 only has USB-C 3.1. In order to use the HDMI connections of the dock, the USB-C connection would have to have DP Alt Mode, i.e. forward the display. However, this does not seem to be the case with the Ideapad 330.
The problem is that USB-C is basically just a connector. It can support the Thunderbolt3 protocol, whereby display and data etc. are included in the Thunderbolt specification.
If only USB (protocol) is supported, this can include different functions... But it does not have to...
Here is an article that explains the whole thing a little better:

In short, with your Ideapad you have to connect the monitor directly to the notebook and the dock can only be used for USB and probably Ethernet.
The USB-C port on your IdeaPad cannot output a video signal. Check the documentation.
The only solution would be a docking station that functions as a USB graphics card. But then you need drivers, which you are probably not allowed to install on your business notebook (?).
