Question about Netgear Hotspot Nighthawk M1
My M1 has recently stopped charging the battery. Even overnight, when no internet is used, the battery charges (at least it shows that it is charging) but somehow it does not rise above 40%. In addition, the battery operation seems to work only with the supplied power supply unit, no other charger works. The device switches on and after a few seconds it restarts. Is my newly purchased device already broken?
I can now answer the question myself. The unit does not charge the battery from 25 degrees room temperature. only when I put it in front of the air conditioner did the battery charge go above 40%. Very poor heat management! I am thinking of returning the unit and buying something more reliable!
For me, the device works with any USB-C mains/charger, even without a battery.
