Question about Lenovo 01FR159
Lenovo customer service has found the following power supply for my "Flex 5-14ARE05 (Type 81X2)": "Lenovo 01FR040". But this is 59.- and not readily available. This one has exactly the same technical characteristics (20V, 3.25A, 65W) and is cheaper and available. Why not order this one? mfg

It looks like the 20V plug on this power supply is different from the original, i.e. it does not work. According to Lenovo, the Lenovo 01FR050 power supply should be OK. In any case, check the 20V plug to see if it fits your device. Kind regards.
I bought a Lenovo Idealpad Flex 5 2 months ago and bought the "Lenovo 01FR040" as a second power supply. It works perfectly. I have also been using one of these for 18 months on another of my partner's Idealpads.
The thicker one has a thicker power cable to the Transformer and therefore takes up the same amount of space as the somewhat clunkier-looking and much cheaper "Lenovo 01FR040"
