Is the "Polar Verity Sense" heart rate monitor compatible with the "adidas Running" app so that the heart rate is displayed during a training session?

I don't think that should be a problem. You can connect it to your smartphone. I have Pulse in several apps, but I don't know the Adidas Running app.
