Is this tilt head compatible with the Manfrotto Befree (aluminium) tripod. Where do I see in the description which head fits which tripod?
Hello together
Thank you very much for your answers. The current head on my Befree is removable and has the "small" male thread according to Tom. If the tilt head has the small female counterpart (exactly this information is unfortunately missing), it would therefore fit.
Most of the time I won't need the tilt head for video recordings, but for photos with a large telephoto lens, where I simply need an appropriately stable and, above all, easily lockable head. In my opinion, these properties are better with video heads than with a "normal" photo ball head, which tends to give slightly under heavy weight. As an alternative, I have already looked at the Manfrotto XPRO ball head with Q6 Top Lock quick release mount, which should basically also meet my needs. But even with this head, the question of compatibility (of the threads) is unfortunately not explicitly mentioned anywhere.
This is really not easy to recognise. So under no circumstances mount this head on the head of the Bee Free, but the head of the Bee Free must be removable. It is also the case that a large support surface is actually good for this head. So for example with the big Gitzos or the three-legged video tripods. I think a trip to a specialist shop is recommended.e.g. Gitzo GT5563GS (Carbon)
