Is there a way to extend the time limit for video recordings? I have seen on my camera and on the internet that it automatically stops at 30 minutes.
What you can do, however, is record the HDMI output on a laptop. The quality is of course not as good, but sufficient depending on the application.
Hello, no unfortunately there is not, it has to do with the fact that the camera would be considered a video camera if it can record longer than 30 minutes and for these significantly higher duties must be paid.
Hi Tobyflom,
thank you for your enquiry. The recordable film times vary depending on the recording conditions and the type of memory card used.
The available film recording time varies because the camera records with VBR (Variable Bit Rate). With this method, the image quality is automatically adjusted depending on the recording scene. If you record fast-moving subjects, the image will be clearer, but the available recording time will be shorter because more memory is required for the recording. The recording time also depends on the recording conditions, the subject or the image quality/image size setting.
The times shown are available recording times when using a Sony memory card.
