Hello, it's a silicon ring that acts as a protection, you have to remove it to load the button, if you remove it it may slide more easily on a piece of furniture, but that doesn't change anything to its correct operation.

The ring is used for labelling, you can only press . 1x , 2x long press . thus 3 different circuits could be programmed
