Question about MikroTik VPN Router CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS

I have been using the router for a while now. If you do without the unspeakable transceivers (SFP to 10gbase T) and use media converters instead, it stays cool.
The 10gbaseT transceivers like to get 70-80 degrees warm, and then the fans go up.

has anyone had more experience with the router in terms of noise level? i'm flirting with the 25gbits from init7. the router will be in the living room...

Quite quiet is often still too loud for the home. From the outside, the unit looks more like a data centre or basement. Clarify what you can expect in terms of the noise level.

Unfortunately, I have not found a guideline for this. Perhaps another user from the community has a suitable answer for you.
