Is it possible to control the rotation sensitivity of the focus wheel ? In general: what is the best way to focus for filming ? The focus wheels of different lenses seem to behave differently, the turning distance seems to be difficult to control, with the Tamron you seem to have to turn far, which involves several turning movements and camera shake. How do you use focus wheels where you mark with a pen, how do you use focus and zoom motors? Thanks

With new lenses, this is "focus by wire" and no longer mechanical with the corresponding disadvantages. And logically, this is not the same for every lens or even every manufacturer. There are special lenses for filming for a reason. Or use a manual lens such as those from Voigtländer or Samyang.

1 What do you need to know about techniques and equipment for focus and film?
2 how far can the possibilities of focusing be exhausted with a DSLR ? if, for example, gear rings are attached to photo lenses, do they then correspond to cine lenses ? What is possible with DSLR, what is not possible?
Many thanks
