If I buy the XPRO ball head with Q6 Top Lock, can I mount it when I remove the tripod head from my existing Manfrotto 718B tripod?

I use a Manfrotto 190 tripod. I don't know the 7188. However, your tripod needs a screw thread with an outer diameter of about 8mm.

I don't think the head can be removed from your tripod, otherwise it would work.
