I would like to connect the router to the fibre from Fiber7. Do I have to buy a converter with optics (e.g. TP-Link MC220L)?

Will the speed with the X6 R8000 of 1 gbit be achieved as with the Nighthawk R7000 ?

You would also need this bundle:
Fiber7 hardware bundle (3m fibre optic cable)

Hello
You need to buy the converter (from fibre to copper cable), the TP-Link MC220L model is recommended for this.
Most home routers are not equipped with a connection for fibre optics. This requires a more or less special or dedicated model. The reason for this is that fibre optics are not standardised worldwide and are not equally widespread everywhere.
A Fritz!Box model with an optical fibre connection will soon be released by AVM. This device should be ideally suited for this application, as the device can utilise the full speed of Gigabit and is generally a good device with many possibilities.

Hello
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Fiber 7, but the homepage describes in detail how to switch the Fiber 7 router to bridge mode. Then the Netgear R8000 Nighthawk X6 can be operated on Ethernet port 1 of the Fiber 7 router. The only changes are the two devices (1x fibre 7 router, 1x R8000). The instructions can be found at https://www.fiber7.ch/documents....
