I would like to connect the monitor as an external display to my MacbookPro 15 inch Mid 2013. It has one HDMI and two Thunderbolt2 ports. Ideally, I would only need one cable so that I can connect the keyboard etc. to the screen. It would also be great if the Macbook could charge at the same time. Which cable/adapter do I need? Thanks a lot
I am using a Dell Precision5530. If I connect the supplied USB cable to the notebook, the following works:
- Power supply of the notebook
- Sound (via external speakers which are connected to the monitor output, monitor has no speakers)
- USB devices connected to the screen: Skype headset, Logitech Unifying receiver for keyboard and mouse.
Very great screen. Absolutely recommendable. I have a SAT receiver, a desktop and changing notebooks on it.
A USB-C cable is included. I use it to connect my Lenovo notebook to the screen (video, network, USB and power). It should also work with the MacBook.
