Powerline is always the better alternative if the cables are laid properly. In the current PC-Tipp you will find a test of the current powerline offers.

That depends on various factors. If you don't have a problem with Wifi radiation, then the repeater is certainly a simple and cheap option for 10m (and probably no steel wall in between). Powerline is more for difficult constellations and can also become unstable depending on the electrical installation. But there is less radiation (e.g. for children's rooms). I use both.
