Question about Dörr Macro Lens 60mm f2.8 Sony E-Mount

I received the lens today. My feeling is that the focus ring has a relatively high resistance to rotation. That is difficult to describe... It also has a lot of visible grease inside. Is this normal for this lens? Can other buyers confirm this? Thank you!

Hello, it was all the same with me. The lens is relatively heavy for its size, the focus ring has a high resistance to rotation and you can see the grease inside. So far it has worked without any problems.

The resistance to rotation must be so great with macro lenses. This is because when the camera is lowered on the tripod and aimed at an object, the tube itself must not rotate out. This works wonderfully for me

That's just the compromise you have to make with such a cheap lens. With Dörr, you never know who the actual manufacturer is. It's just a German brand that sells stuff from China.
However, there is an equally cheap alternative from 7Artisans. Also from China. They have quite a good reputation. I used to have the Fisheye from them and it was very pleasant to use. Just as it should be. There is also a 60 macro:
