Question about Kingston ValueRAM
I have upgraded an HP Compaq 8100 Elite (SFF) to 16 GB with this memory. W7 Pro no longer starts. Is this the wrong memory?
In another question asked about these modules, the user "panciera" had also stated that he had not been able to get them to work in an HP Elite, but had been able to get them to work in another PC.
It is quite possible that HP only allows specific modules in some models of their devices. Try running the modules only with 2x4GB instead of 4x4GB, just to see if the PC starts.
