Vogels Thin 545
Wall, 65", 25 kg
I have been using this wall mount for 2 years and would like to use it for a new, heavier TV (LG OLED65G19), which however weighs 29kg. Will the wall mount not be able to cope with that, or is that still within the tolerance range?
According to Vogels, the mounts are tested to 3 times their weight allowance.
I would ask the manufacturer Vogels first. But do not try it under any circumstances!
For one or more reasons of construction (material thickness/strength/strength, joint construction, drill hole diameter specifications, etc.) there are different Vogels models for the different TV sizes (hold a 5 kg weight with a horizontally stretched arm for 5 minutes, do the same with 10 kg :-)). ). There are large forces of movement that act when the television is pulled up and tilted.
And with a TV that costs CHF ~2,500.00, I would simply buy a suitable bracket (again) for CHF ~250.00 and then be sure that my brand new TV doesn't hit the floor because the bracket is too weak! (it is/was not mine: https://www.gutefrage.net/frage... )
The Thin 560 can handle 70 KG from 40" to 100"! https://www.vogels.com/de-ch...
Enjoy your QLED!
