I have an older Asus laptop which I now have connected to a docking station via USB 3.0. The monitor, sound, keyboard and mouse are connected via this.
The laptop does not have USB-C, but only USB 3.0. Is it still possible to connect the laptop to this ThinkVision with only one cable? (Charging doesn't work with my laptop, of course, but I could get rid of the old DockingStation, which is not compatible with my new business laptop...).

That does not work. It only works with USB-C (3.1). You can connect the USB hub from the display via USB 3.0, but you still need a video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort). Only USB-C (3.1) can charge, transmit a video signal, etc.
