I have a PC and a laptop connected to the screen KVM switch, but I have massive dropouts with the keyboard and mouse. Can anyone help me? So unusable. Thank you very much!

Hello Georg W.,

Unfortunately, your error description is still too imprecise.

When do you have the dropouts?
Only when both systems are active or also with one?

Continuously when working or only after you have switched the video input, e.g. from USB-C to one of the others?

For me it is like this: shortly after changing the video source it takes a moment until the KVM also changes, otherwise I have no abnormalities on the monitor as far as the KVM is concerned.

Unfortunately, it is not clear from your description what you have already tried and what you have not tried.

Therefore, I would briefly describe my setup and maybe that could help you.

I have a Thinkpad connected to the monitor via Thunderbolt and a desktop PC via Displayport and USB-A to USB-B 3.0.

Lindy Thunderbolt 3 cable (1m)

StarTech USB 3.0 (2m)

One problem could be the cable length, especially with Thunderbolt anything over a metre is no longer recommended.

I connected the Logitech MX Masters mouse via Bluetooth and the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 v1.0 keyboard.

I also have a USB-A to Micro-USB to charge the mouse or headphones and a USB-A to USB-C to charge my mobile phone.

Except for the Displayport Out and HDMI In, all other ports are occupied.

I hope I could help you a little

Greetings and have a nice weekend.
