I currently have a Linksys velop triband based network (WHW0302-EU). Can I change the main node with this one and keep the two current ones running as satellites? Do you have an instruction manual that explains how to do this?

Helpful answer

As far as I understand, all Linksys Mesh systems are compatible with each other. I recommend updating the Linksys application and configuring the new "parent" in this way. The "child" devices will then take over the configuration.
Only Apple Homekit does not work if you mix different devices.

Here is the answer from our product experts:

In general, the mentioned scenario should be possible, as all Linksys Velop nodes should be compatible and it should be possible to implement them as part of the WI FI network.
In this case, the new node Linksys Velop WiFi 6 AX4200 Mesh WLAN System Tri-Band 1-Pack (MX4200) that is to be used as the main node must be configured from the start according to the following guidelinesThe main node, which is to be used as the main node, must be configured from the beginning according to the procedure in the user manual and after completion the modules can be added.

Unfortunately we do not have the exact procedure for this, so it is best to contact the brand directly.
