I can't connect the Lenovo screen to my Lenovo thinkpad, I'm using a USB A to Usb C adapter and it keeps giving me stand-by mode! What can I do? Send it back?

USB A is not designed for screen transmission. Either hdmi to usb c or usb c to usb c.
