The switch is in use on a shelf, extremely quiet. It does not get hot either. I think it's an excellent product!
How warm it gets in the cupboard depends on how warm it already is there and whether the switch gets enough space.

I have now been using the switch for 18 hours in the closed fuse cabinet in the wall (without using PoE, but using an SFP). The switch shows the temperature status "Normal" and is running stably so far.
