Question about ASUS ROG Ally

How is it (in your experience) with the gyro? I know the Ally has a gyro but apparently you can't set it as universally and easily as on Steam Input (when I play on PC with my Nacon controller, I always set my gyro through steam Input). So does gyro work with the Ally in every game? Is there any way to set it, e.g. through Steam input?
