Question about Devolo Magic 2 LAN triple starter kit

Always plug directly into a wall socket, do not use extension cables or multiple socket strips. Modern, well-shielded cables, correct earthing, as all 3 cables are used for data transmission. In a relatively new house/flat, this is actually a matter of course. Avoid direct sources of interference (dimmers, halogen lamps, motors/compressors in the refrigerator, microwave ovens). I have been using Devolo devices for years and have never had any problems. It works, also via the distribution box but at best with speed losses. But - the stated values (2400 Mbit/s) are never even close to being reached, even under the best conditions. In my case, the two devices manage a maximum of 260 Mbit/s. The best thing is to try it out.

Depends a lot on the networking of your flat. I use the devices from the 1st floor to the basement and have a good throughput, which means the speed is about what I expected and is faster than with a repeater. The house wiring is about 20 years old. If the line runs from one location to the next via the distribution box or parallel to other electrical lines, there can be a big drop in speed and/or interference.
