Hello If I want to connect two different computers to the monitor, do I need the software to display both or would it work without?

You mean display the screen of two PCs at the same time, split screen? That is possible, even without software. Directly on the monitor via Settings>Input>PBP> Screen Split. However, only a 50:50 split is available there. You can then assign one input per screen, e.g. 1-DP and 2-USB-C.

Started exactly the same. Best result now the sound via Bluetooth and the rest via USB C. This way you can control the sound with the volume up/down buttons on the Mac. Greetings alsaf
