Question about Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro Max
Hello together Is anyone running this device on a Sunrise subscription? I have a fibre optic connection with XGS-PON and a current 10 Gbit/s plan. I currently have a FRITZ!Box Fiber 5590 running directly on the fibre optic socket; the router supplied by Sunrise is no longer in use. The aim is to operate a UniFi Dream Machine directly on the fibre optic connection at 10 Gbit/s and replace the FRITZ!Box completely. I expressly want to avoid bridge mode. Has anyone already implemented this or has practical experience with it? Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately I haven't got round to testing it yet, but I have the same situation as you and would actually like to get rid of the Sunrise modem. Unfortunately, you can't get any information from Sunrise.
But as Nicolas wrote, it makes the most sense to switch to Init7, they do a great job and you can tell that Internet is their core business!

I have a Dream Machine Pro Max as a router and no longer have a provider box. However, the prerequisite for this is that your provider supports or allows this.
Sunrise always requires a Sunrise Box, even if this is not technically necessary. In my case, I switched my fibre optic connection to Init7, which allows a free choice of hardware. Init7 (Fibre7 https://www.init7.net/de...) also has many other advantages for ambitious prosumers.

We use XGS-PON on several sites with Ubiquiti hardware and DHCP and fixed addresses: no problem! All you need is a fibre-to-Ethernet modem.
