Question about Datacolor Spyder X PRO

Hello together I recently bought a new gaming monitor (Cooler Master Tempest G27U). On RTINGS it says that the colour accuracy from the factory is poor and that you should calibrate it yourself. I mainly play on the PS5 and my question now is: If I calibrate the monitor with the Spyder PRO (this is done on the PC) and then connect the PS5 to the same HDMI port, will the calibration be adopted? Thank you very much for your help! LG Reto

Helpful answer

The Datacolor software recognises the monitors that are connected to the desktop and makes them available for calibration. This method allows calibration. After disconnecting the monitor from the PC, colour control by the Datacolor software is interrupted.

Yes and no.
Calibration takes place in two steps: First, the various colour components for red, green and blue are set directly on the monitor to achieve the correct white. Then contrast and gamma are also set directly on the monitor as close as possible to the desired value. If done carefully, this could perhaps also help on a PS5.
The colours are then measured by the software and the remaining corrections are stored in a colour table for the graphics card.
This part is NOT taken over.
I doubt whether it is worth the effort.

It will, definitely, not work as the calibration process concludes with the color correction file which is used by the software on Windows or MAC but does not exist for PS5.
