Hello, is it possible to use it without the sata plug? If I connect game controllers for example. Is there an alternative without the power supply? I have seen this https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/product/digitus-ds-30221-1-cartes-controleur-10274416?tagIds=76-525 but I am not sure.

You have to power the USB with a sata or something. This is not only possible with PCI-e.
