Hello, is it possible to manually adjust the zoom on the lens? I have an old Nikon P510, which can only be adjusted via the electronics, which is too slow. Thank you very much for your feedback!

Hi,

Yes, you can manually adjust the zoom on the lens by assigning the following functions to the rotational directions of the lens ring
Zoom in (T) or Zoom out (W) functions.
Please proceed as follows: MENU → (Camera settings 2) → [Zoom ring rotation direction] → desired setting.
Here are menu item details: Left(W)/Right(T):Assigns the zoom out (W) function to left rotation, and zoom in (T) to right rotation.
(Right(W)/Left(T):Assigns the function Zoom in (T) to left rotation and Zoom out (W) to right rotation.

Yes, on the Sony Cyber-shot DSC RX10 Mark IV the zoom of the lens can be adjusted manually, not completely manually, but there is a combination of manual and electronic control.

The lens has a zoom ring that you can turn to adjust the zoom manually. However, this mechanical zoom ring employees in combination with the electronic control, which allows for fast and precise zoom adjustment. This should be faster and more precise than the purely electronic control of your old Nikon P510.
