I bought this computer and I wanted to upgrade the RAM to 32GB but I found on different threads on the internet that it's not possible to upgrade unless using HP-branded RAM. Most users are stating that installing any other RAM sticks will result in them being stuck to 2133/2400 MHz frequencies, regardless of what the memory sticks are advertised. This has something to do with HP's locked BIOS that prevents the user to access the XMP profiles.
I am now holding back to buy any RAM sticks, not knowing if I will be able to install them or not.
I am in contact with HP support but they haven't given me an answer yet.

Does anyone has already tried to upgrade this computer's RAM successfully with 3000Mhz RAM sticks?

According to our product experts, it should be possible to upgrade the RAM with other RAM sticks than the ones from HP. We have found the following information. Unfortunately only in German:

The warranty will still be valid even if you change the RAM.
