After the last update with android 9 which is great because it gives access to Netflix and upgrade the quality of streaming via VLC, unfortunately HDMI connections were lost at least for my blu-ray. Only my Apple TV is recognize.
It seems this is a problem that I share with others. There is a complicated solution on a forum but I prefer wait a new update to correct this issue.

I tried the solution with the usb stick provided above and it worked. Now I have my Blu-ray back!

I have the same problem. Since the update, the beamer does not recognise the DVD player or the Xbox, which is very annoying!
I would be very grateful for a quick solution.
