The battery in the DSC-RX100 VII (DSC-RX100M7) model can be charged directly in the camera using the micro USB cable supplied. Charging instructions can also be found in the camera operating instructions.
With the DSC-RX100 VIIA (DSC-RX100M7A), it is not possible to charge the battery directly in the camera. A separate charger is required for this. You can find the relevant instructions on the official Sony website.
