Question about Eizo FS2735 Foris
Does this monitor also work well with an nVidia 1080 ?
Yes, the monitor also runs with an Nvidia card:
FreeSync is the AMD implementation of the open standard Adaptive Sync. nVidia unfortunately cooks its own soup with G-Sync. So you can't use the Eizo's Sync function with an nVidia.
I definitely recommend the monitor. With your GPU, however, I would rather go for a good G-Sync monitor - because with the 1184 Fr. FreeSync monitor from Eizo you can't use a great feature at all and a monitor isn't changed every 2 years. I see three possibilities here:
- Buy Eizo 2735 - live with the fact that you can't use all the functions + keep the GPU.
- Buy Eizo 2735 - change to AMD GPU if necessary
- Buy another monitor with G-Sync
