Does this docking station support the following screens? - 1x Samsung 27 inch UHD (HDMI) - 1x HP Z-Display 24 inch (display port) I have heard that max. 2x 24 inch is supported, but I can't find that in the tech. Data.
Short answer:
Yes it is possible to run two 27" screens but please see the conditions below before purchasing.
Long answer:
I use two identical 27" monitors. When both are connected to DisplayPort, the second screen is not fully supported. Screen No. 1 can be set to 1920 x 1200 @ 144Hz and screen No. 2 can only be set to 1600 x 1200 @ 75 Hz which is very annoying and was very annoying at first. After a bit of experimentation, however, I found that if one of the monitors is connected to the DisplayPort port and the other to the HDMI port, then I can operate both monitors at 1920 x 1200 @ 144 Hz.
However, it should be mentioned that the monitor connected to the HDMI connector must be set to Limited Mode in its own settings. The HDMI cable does not send the full range of 0-255 gradations per colour, but is limited to the values 16-235. Therefore, it can happen that the black appears slightly greyed out if the setting on the monitor has not been adjusted. The source on picture quality with HDMI can be found under the following link and is very interesting in the detailed version: https://www.prad.de/der-korrek...
P.s. You only notice this when you finally see a really black picture, because I noticed that I had this greyed-out picture on my old monitor for almost 5 years, when I realised the problem I set up the old monitor again, activated the setting and thought to myself... "Sh#?!*.... I didn't need a new monitor at all".
Im Factsheet https://www8.hp.com/h20195... steht:
Single display: up to 3840 x 1440 @ 60Hz
Dual display: up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz
Triple display: up to 1680 x 1050 @ 60Hz
The docking station supports video connections simultaneously on the HDMI connector and on the DisplayPort, provided that display resolutions of 2560 x 1600 or less are used. For resolutions greater than 2560 x 1600, only single display device mode can be used: Instructions: https://images-eu.ssl-images-amazon.com/images...
