Does anyone have an Apple TV Box (still without 4K) connected directly to the modem? The Apple TV Box always gives itself a local IP 169.254.xx.xx - on the router, the LAN port is marked yellow, which refers to 10/100 MBit (all other devices already have 1000Mbit). I use WINGO Fibre with it. I found something in the Synology Forum (https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/2/post/134598), but no solution so far. The Apple TV box is not interested in manual set-up (in parallel a Connect Box from UPC - plug it in and everything works...) ... Anyone have experience with this?
A Synology community member was able to help me. Contrary to the information I read in advance, the Apple TV box works on the router.
The cause was the WAN settings, which are stored in default values (!) and must be deleted accordingly! With the two adjustments everything is ok!
a) Smart-WAN ----> Interface priority - was set incorrectly.
b) VLAN ID" (VID) setting box of LAN 3 and LAN 4, so no value of a VLAN is set as for the first line.
The other values you can keep - 0 untagged
169.254.x.x are APIPA addresses (automatic private IP address), which you will get if your DHCP does not deliver anything. I would check the DHCP (has it issued a lease?), possibly firewall rules or banned devices. Have you already done the factory reset? You can save the config beforehand if it doesn't work.
