Dear Galaxus Team, Unfortunately while travelling I lost the cable that connected the monitor with my laptop. I tried several cables from various producers, and for some reason there is no video-signal, though the power works fine and I can see LG logo when I connect the monitor to a laptop. I'm wondering if I should buy some kind of a special cable so that the monitor would work properly again. Thanks a lot for your help. Kind regards, Alexander
The problem will probably simply be the connection. Unfortunately, the chaos with USB-C connections is relatively large. There are different version numbers and then also Thunderbold cables that also use "USB-C".
You need a cable that also supports DisplayPort. I think, without having tested it myself, one of these should fit: Lindy USB 3.1, Gen 2, C/C, Active Cable (3 m, USB Type C)
Alternatively, I would write to LG directly. Often the manufacturers have something like this as a "spare part" and therefore cheaper than the retail prices.
