Can you use the box only as an outdoor antenna? Because I have very poor mobile reception in the flat and when the WLAN from this box is sent from outside I also have poor WLAN reception inside, I would only have this box as a 5G receiver outside and connect it to the normal Fritzbox with an Ethernet cable inside.

The FRITZ!Box 6860 5G is designed as an outdoor-capable 5G router and can be installed in protected outdoor areas, for example on windows or on the wall of a house, to achieve the best mobile phone reception. It can be connected to another router or repeater indoors via the LAN connection. This makes it possible to use the box as an outdoor 5G receiver and forward the signal to a normal FRITZ!Box via Ethernet cable. However, it is not intended to be used purely as an outdoor antenna without a router function, as the box itself works as a stand-alone router with an integrated modem and Wi-Fi.
