can you buy this laptop with an additional 8gb ram? (and does diitec already install it directly)?

According to HP (http://support.hp.com/ee-en...), there is a second externally accessible slot for another 8 GB. Maybe it will help to ask nicely at the pick-up, so that the bolt can be installed?
